How to join the Research Group
If you are a researcher in health promotion or education, you are invited to become a member of the SHE Research Group.
The SHE research group (RG) is a consortium of researchers and research institutions fromcountries in the WHO European region, who are part of the Schools for Health in Europe (SHE) Network Foundation. The SHE RG consists of scholars with expertise, capacities, and interest in further developing, researching and evaluating relevant issues and approaches on school health promotion andhealth education within the European context.
SHE Research Group position paper
To become a full member of the research group, applicants should fulfill the following criteria:
- At least a Master ́s degree regarding school health promotion, health education or disease prevention (a wide range of disciplines will be considered, e.g., health sciences, social sciences, life sciences)
- At least three scientific publications (e.g., journal article, book chapter) concerning school health promotion and health education
- Participation in at least one research or development project on school health promotion and health education within the last three years
If you are not fulfilling the criteria for obtaining the full membership, you are invited to become a junior member of the SHE Research Group. Junior membership is equal to full membership, but with different criteria. Code of practice SHE Research group
Be familiar and agree with SHE's Articles of Association.
Engage in research and development projects in the area of school health promotion and education, as outlined in the SHE Research Group position paper (pdf-document).
Play an active role in SHE activities (participate in the events organized for the network, initiate events, raise awareness of possibilities for publishing, communicate relevant events in advance, have and maintain contact with their SHE national coordinator).
Share relevant information and research findings with the members of SHE.
Act as advocates for research in SHE and its implication for policy, research and practice.
