Switzerland: health promotion and sustainable development in schools.

The Swiss network for health-promoting and sustainable schools (Schulnetz21) has published two new resources:

1. The quality criteria support heads of school, faculty and staff in their evaluation and development of health-promoting measures and the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). They serve as a frame of reference and basis for development.
2. The guide for the implementation of personal, social and methodical competences with a focus on health and sustainability promotes awareness of the overlap among life, health and ESD competences. Questions for reflection and practical ideas support its use in the classroom and the whole school.
